Borehole drilling across Keembe commences

Several new boreholes have been dug across the constituency, with 100 boreholes proposed to be dug in total.

On Tuesday 5th November, the first borehole of many was dug in Muundu, with another dug in Muuluka later that day. Additional boreholes have also been dug at Nkhala community school and Chinwangowa on Wednesday 6th November.

As the country experiences one of its worst droughts ever, these boreholes are a vital source of water for the entire community, supporting households across the constituency and aiding the irrigation of crops for smallholder farms.

It has been proposed that 10 boreholes will be dug in the constituency before the end of the year, with the remaining 90 boreholes to be dug throughout 2025.
