Footbridge Construction at Manwankhalamu Primary School
A 54 meter-long footbridge is in the process of being constructed at Manwankhalamu Primary School as part of an effort to ensure safe and easy access to the education facility for over 550 learners. Currently, access to the school remains unsafe, with students having to cross almost 100m of wooden planks across a river almost 5 meters deep in rainy season.
Current access to the school is via this wooden footbridge which is unsteady and unsafe
CDF School Bursaries
In line with President Hakainde Hichilema’s commitment to free education our community has been blessed with access to 133 school bursaries through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). Of these bursaries, 53 have gone to male students and 80 have gone to female students. The CDF has already supported 21 males and 30 females through their education in the constituency. These bursaries will enrich the lives and minds of over one hundred children across Keembe, in turn helping to contribute to the overall local economy in the long-term.
